The apple diet comes from the United States. The principle is simple: eat an apple before each meal and you fall off!

What should you do?
The creator of the apple diet Tammi Flynn wore one of her clients at every meal for an apple to eat. The client also changed her diet and not yet lost a kilogram per week. Flynn then tried the diet also in its other clients. In twelve weeks lost 346 pounds in 2700 people together. That amounts to nearly eight pounds per person.

How does it work?
By eating the apple reduces your appetite and therefore you eat less of the main meal. Also apples are full of vitamins and minerals and they ensure a good balance of your sugar. This gives you less fancy sweet snacks or chips. Over time you would even wish for an “apple shot.

Who?
Anyone can apple diet, provided you keep apples of course. The apple diet is not suitable for people who want to quickly lose much weight. It involves many of very gradual weight loss.

What are experts?
The Nutrition Center has not yet decided on the apple diet. Information Officer Ineke Volkers the apple diet is very smart: “An apple is a source of fiber and vitamins and gives a satisfied feeling. That you eat less, so I think that the apple diet could work.”

Benefits
A big advantage is that you can keep your appetite under control. This’ll feel more tempted to eat unhealthy snacks. Also apples contain antioxidants. These are vitamins and minerals that a positive effect on the body.

Apples with a brighter color, more antioxidants than apples with a lighter color. Almost all are antioxidants in the skin, so eat the apple, preferably with skin.

Disadvantages
A disadvantage of the apple diet is that you soon one hundred apples a month to work inside. This is very much the diet and can become quickly bored. Also lacking scientific evidence for the effect of the diet.

Realize that many are moving a significant part of the apple diet. So as not to burn if you’re the apple diet you will almost certainly not help.

And then there are your teeth in the long term, the acid of the apples will affect your teeth. Good and regular brushing is required.
