How do you stay motivated to exercise?
Exercise and healthy eating a good diet seem to be hand in hand. How to change now an occasional athlete to someone who has a lifetime habit of it.
• Ask yourself first why you want to do sports. Want to lose weight, feel better, sleep better …? If you start in sports because someone else wants it, it is best to find other reasons.
• Set goals, both short and long term. The target in the short term you should be 3 to 6 weeks old can deliver, in the long term to one year. Your goals should not be difficult to achieve that they are demoralizing, but hard enough that sufficient effort to do.
• Keep a training diary. Write it how you train and how you feel about that feeling. What impact has the training you sleep, weight, energy, etc.? Do some exercises more effective than others?
• Take pictures of yourself every month, so you have a tangible picture of the result.
• Make sure you use the right technique. You definitely want to avoid injuries. If you feel pain, consult a doctor immediately.
• A workout buddy can motivate you to continue anyway. Conversely, you can motivate him again.
• If you prefer to train alone, you can give yourself something fun to do while you exercise. Spelertje bought a mp3 and listen to your favorite music, a radio show or an exciting audio book.
• Learn to recognize your own excuses and find a ready answer. Put your sports clothes ready in advance. If you have children, make sure they keep up or find a babysitter in time.

• If you walk or run, a pedo meter (pedometer), a handy tool. so you better track your progress.
• Write the evening training exercises that you want to do the next day.
• Reward yourself when you exercise to have a successful conclusion. Choose any food as a reward, but buy your favorite magazine, rent a movie or do anything else you like.
